When you listen to a song – really listen to it – the words, how the music flows, the beat and rhythm – the music really gets to you, hits you in the heart, makes you feel.
Sometimes it’s lovely, floaty music and lyrics – thinking ‘It’s Great When We’re Together’ – or the energy and joy of ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ – that’s how I experience my paintings – sometimes floaty, smooth, curves and colours – and then sometimes spiky, bright, lots of action!
Paintings to match songs, or rather, painting feelings to match a song – both complement each other – experience one, feel the other. That’s how I paint – sometimes I match the song after the painting, sometimes I paint for a song I have in my head, one that just won’t leave (you know the ones) and sometimes I paint while I listen – quickly, frantically, takes as long as the song does!
My art shows love, happiness, friendship, naughtiness (sometimes 🙂) but also apology, and loss. Hopefully your life is like this – and the life of the person you’re thinking of when you see the painting, and listen to the song? Hopefully, theirs is like that too.
Enjoy the site, have a look around, let me know what you think. If you have a song in your head that’s not here, let me know, maybe I can give it a go – tell me why it’s important to you, what you see when you close your eyes and we’ll see where it takes us.
Take care

By the way…
I don’t have any affiliation with any bands, record labels, shops or music industry people in general. Any legal rights for songs are retained by their originating artists and songwriters. And this isn’t advertising for anyone either – but if you like a picture, and have never heard the song before – search for it, give it a go, you might be surprised how you feel when you do. 🙂
