Christmas Paintings

So, I haven’t been feeling that festive recently. Probably the same as you – keep doing the same things, day in day out, look at the same scenery, same people, listen to the same news, etc. etc. etc.

But, if there’s one thing that is going to cheer you up, put you in a festive mood and get a little smile back onto your face, it is Christmas music! I plugged my headphones in, put Christmas Classics playlist onto amazon, and painted away.

After an hour or so, I had a lot – probably 10 or 12 done – not that frantic at all, but really free and loose. Did some I was really happy with and named them too. I’ll put up a category in the Gallery soon, but here was one I particularly liked – enjoy…

So many different versions of this song, originally recorded in 1934! Quite like the Bruce Springsteen live version, as well as The Jackson 5, and of course The Buble too. I think I like The Crystals version the best though, sounds so Christmassy! Though the bit in Elf when they sing it, boosting the Christmas Cheer for Santa’s sleigh is pretty good too.
